  Message From the Ambassador Welcome to the new face of Afghanistan in northern Europe: the new website of the Embassy of Afghanistan in Oslo! We are proud to be representing Afghanistan in Norway as well as, on a non-resident basis, in Sweden, Denmark, Finland and Iceland.My colleagues and I at the embassy will do what we can to ensure that our website does justice to Afghanistan today, a country of unique features and of unprecedented global importance. President Karzai Attends UN Interfaith Meeting President Karzai Attends UN Interfaith Meeting On November 12-13, 2008 President Hamid Karzai attended an interfaith dialogue on religion, culture and common values at the United Nations in New York. The event, officially called the "High-Level Meeting on the Culture of Peace," was hosted by King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia and attended by more than 54 heads of state and other high government officials.
